"An unexpected heritage in the Upper Valdarno"
After passing the ancient medieval Village of Castelfranco in the direction of Piandisc̣, near a bend in the Via dei "Sette Ponti" you will find Villa Mandri, hidden as it is set back considerably from the road.
In the maps of the Captains of the Guelph Party of 1583, a manor house with a tower appears in the place called "Mandri"; in 1621 the Mandri estate.
Over the centuries, the Villa has been the residence of important families such as the Restoni, the Arrighi and the Martinetti until 1930, when it passed into the current ownership of the Alamanni family.

In 1902 Villa Mandri underwent a complete renovation to adapt the rooms and decorations to the dictates of an eclecticism that combined neo-Renaissance and neo-Gothic elements.

The façade, with five rows of windows of different heights on the second and third floors, divided by a string course, is characterised by the large portico at ground level, with three arches, with four quadrilateral pillars, of which the central one frames the entrance door.
The portico is surmounted by a large terrace facing the main floor and overlooking the English garden, which dates back to the same period.
The front of the Villa is connected to the road by a long avenue bordered by dry stone walls and ending with a beautiful iron gate.
The chapel is accessed from the garden.
A swimming pool has recently been built, which is accessed via a stone staircase.
